Back from the brink
A commissioned film following Michael Gibbs of Ella Rose Building Services as he brings a family's home back from the edge of collapse.
The brief
A house left on the edge of collapse by cowboy builders — and the builder who took it on. Ella Rose Building Services wanted the restoration told properly: a brand story with the weight of a documentary, not an advert.
The work
I filmed on a live, noisy building site, working around Michael's workforce as the restoration progressed — documentary coverage on the ground, and drone work threading through the project and over the roof to show every angle of the build, from the damage inherited to the home handed back.
The result
He flew a drone through my latest construction project and over the roof, showing every angle. The video he created has generated a huge number of clients for me — we'll be using Gareth on all our future projects.
